Introduction to Machine Quilting
In this 6 week class, we will teach you everything you need to know to embark on your quilting journey. Topics of instruction include knowing and understanding the variety of fabric and their weaves, understanding yardage cuts and precuts, choosing your fabric and thread--including color theory, proper (and safe!) use of all tools, including rotary cutters and quilting rulers, how to read quilt patterns, cutting and piecing fabric to create a quilt top, choosing batting, creating a back. We will learn to surface quilt on our domestic machines, and learn to make and apply binding.
